The 16th Infantry Regiment Historical Society is a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands committed to collecting, preserving and sharing the rich history of the U.S. 16th Infantry Regiment, so that all generations can understand the price of freedom.

All throughout the year, the Society works in a number of ways to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget—we will never forget. More specifically, our efforts are:

  • To add faces and stories to the names of all 16th Infantrymen who served from World War I to the present day.

  • To collect and preserve historical records of the 16th Infantry Regiment’s rich history.

  • To participate in and coordinate wreath-laying ceremonies at America’s overseas military cemeteries.

  • To make every effort to provide the fullest possible accounting for missing 16th Infantrymen to their families and the nation.

  • To educate people about the history of the U.S. Army’s 16th Infantry Regiment.
